I learned rug hooking from my grandmother many years ago. At that time she was using all "as is" wool, most of which was left from sewing projects and our out grown shirts. My passion for hooking did not develop until after my family was grown and left home.

It was at this time that I received a trip to May Camp at Cedar Lakes in Ripley, Virginia as a Christmas gift. The Lord put me in classes with Jane King and Dot Schutte.

I will always thank the Lord for allowing me to meet Jane. It is because of her that I am where I am today... nearing completion of my McGown Certification. Her concentrated dyeing lessons have served me well. While I love dyeing, I found there is a need for great textured wools that can be used with or without dyeing.

While most of our wool is from Rebecca Erb, Heavens to Betsy, and Dorr, I am always on the search for the perfect piece of 100% wool. Our mission is to provide you with one-eight yard strips that have been torn lengthwise so you can cut them with the lengthwise grain line. With longer strips you have fewer ends. All of our wool has been washed and tumbled dry to maximize the wonderful effect of wool that has been especially milled for rug hooking.

One-eighth yard strips have an added bonus - more textures for your money. We will be happy to ship one or as many strips as you desire.

We also have the wool available in one-fourth yd. pieces for penny mats or other wool projects.
